Hope you have fun. I so wanted to go, but didn't meet the deadline by the time I knew I'd be able to make it. _________________ Thanks, Dave (firehouse16) http://www.socalrailfan.com/ |

All the caches are published and the first person to log promptly went through and posted a bunch of TNLN logs. |

I'll average it out. Here is my first log:
A great event and # 8000 for me! Drove down yesterday from norcal with 5 others and 3 vehicles. We had a blast, enjoyed the desert, the extremely well organized event, friendly people and excellent hides filled with great swag. The weather was much better than we expected. Yes it changed (often) during the day but there were periods of bright blue sky, perfectly white clouds and unlimited visibility. And there sure was a lot to see from many of the caches. Driving through a little run off was fun too. Big kids like to make 'splash!' The prizes were outstanding and it was fun to see the kid's eyes light up for best dressed pirate kids. There were some much larger 'kids' in full pirate regalia having a great time. The food at the Slash X was hot and tasty. Many thanks for the obviously enormous amount of time and effort that went into this event. And TFTC!
Did I mention we had a good time? |
