I see Tyler is scheduling a snow run on the 24th. That sounds like fun! I did that on Sunday and had a BLAST! However, there is a HUGE event at NASA's Goldstone Communications Facility at Fort Irwin on the 23rd... 2010 - NASA Deep Space Odyssey II (GC20H7Q) There is also a separate dinner event as well as breakfast on the 23rd. Since I'm already in the area, I am going to wheel Calico on the 24th! Doug is printing me out the maps. Stan and Klemmer will be at the NASA event and I'm twisting their arms to bring the 4x4s. I've also invited anyone who will be at the event or live in the area, to go wheeling on Sunday. I came here to throw out an invite, but Tyler beat me to it! I don't want to split the group, but I'm going to Calico on the 24th and everyone is invited. Dino - KX6D _________________ Dino - KX6D

I had friends that were thinking about going to Calico, but decided against it due to the rains and the run-off that always saturates those canyons. Be safe out there.

Today (Saturday) was a fantastic day in the hills north of Barstow! The roads were damp with only a few puddles. Tomorrow (Sunday) promises to be a fantastic day! No worries with washed out canyons, etc. Everyone is still welcome to come up! Dino - KX6D _________________ Dino - KX6D
